A Message from your Town Board…

We operate a “Single Stream” recycling process. This means that all of your recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, aluminum, magazines and cardboard) should all be placed into one container. The Single Stream process makes disposal easier for you and the town. Did you know the Town pays to dump garbage, but the recyclables are taken away for free? The more garbage you can recycle, the less you have to pay in bag fees and the less the taxpayers have to pay in garbage hauling fees. It does pay to RECYCLE and it is good for our environment as well.

How to Recycle Common Items

Place all recyclable items together in your Single Stream container.
ITEMS MUST BE LOOSE!
DO NOT PLACE CONTENTS IN PLASTIC BAGS!

ATTENTION: Wisconsin Adm. Codes NR 502.06 requires licensed waste haulers to notify clients yearly that State and Local laws require everyone in Wisconsin to recycle newspaper, magazines, cardboard, food and beverage containers, tires, yard waste, appliances, motor oil, lead acid batteries and office paper.

How to Dispose of non-recyclable trash (solid waste)

Food waste, paper plates, napkins, disposable diapers, food wrappers. . . any non-recyclable item.

  • You must supply your own bags (any brand or color is ok).
  • You will be charged at the Transfer station by the attendant for each bag of trash you dispose of. Partially filled bags will not be prorated.
  • Charges per bag, according to the size of trash bag, are as follows (sales tax exempt):
    • $1.50 for up to 5 gallon bags (standard plastic grocery size)
    • $2.00 for 10 – 20 gallon bags (tall kitchen bags)
    • $3.00 for 30 – 40 gallon bags (typical trash can size)
    • $4.50 for 55 gallon bags
  • Solid Waste (trash) user fees pay for the hauling and disposal of both trash and recyclables.
  • No human waste or dead animals are accepted.
