Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the Proposed 2026 Budget for the Town of Manitowish Waters, Vilas County, Wisconsin, will be held at the Town Hall, 5733 Airport Road, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 6:00pm. The proposed budget, in detail, is available for inspection in the Clerk’s office at the Town Hall from 10:00am-1:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The Manitowish Waters Airport Master Plan is underway after starting in the fall of 2024. This is an airport-wide study that guides future airport development over the next 20 years. Airports that receive federal funding are required to update their master plan periodically. As part of the master planning process,

Per the Vilas County Public Health Department the Frank B. Koller Memorial beach in Manitowish Waters has been re-opened, effective today August 7, 2025. Water samples were re-tested and have returned to normal, indicating normal beach activity can resume.

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute §70.45, the assessment roll for 2025 will be open for examination at the following time:

September 4, 2025 from 9:30am-11:30am at the Manitowish Waters Town Hall

At the open book session, instructional information and objection forms will be available. These documents will assist with scheduling a hearing before the Board of Review. The Assessor will be present and available to answer questions.

 Notice is hereby given by the Town of Manitowish Waters that there will be a Public Information Meeting for the Proposed Wake Boat Ordinance on internal lakes within the Manitowish Waters Chain. 

Vilas County, WI — The Vilas County Highway Department is announcing that culvert replacement work on County Trunk Highway (CTH) W, between CTH K and CTH P, will begin Monday, May 5, 2025.

This work is being completed in preparation for a larger paving project scheduled for later this summer.
