A Special Town Meeting of Electors was held on March 19th, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Manitowish Waters Town Hall. The election results are as follows:
Approve construction of proposed new Manitowish Waters Fire Company Building
YES = 114 NO = 20
Approve construction of proposed new addition to the Frank B Koller Library
YES = 91 NO = 43
Approve construction of proposed new addition to the Manitowish Waters Town Hall
YES = 76 NO = 58
A Public Informational Meeting will be held on March 12th, 2019 at 6:00pm at the Manitowish Waters Town Hall for the purpose of providing information on 3 separate projects:
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF ELECTORS
A Special Town Meeting of Electors will be held on March 19th, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Manitowish Waters Town Hall.
Pursuant to Wis. Statute 60.1 0(2)(f), the purpose of this meeting will be to authorize the Town Board to construct buildings for the use of the Town, to combine for this purpose the Town’s funds with those of a society or corporation doing business or located in the Town and to accept contributions of money, labor or space for this purpose.
A separate paper ballot vote will be taken for all 3 proposed projects, by qualified electors only. MUST BE PRESENT TO VOTE.
Qualified electors must be a US Citizen, 18 years of age, and have resided in Manitowish Waters for a minimum of 10 days prior to March 19th, 2019.

The Manitowish Waters Town Board is accepting applications from interested persons to serve on a Building Committee. The purpose of the Committee will be to assist in the planning and provide input for the proposed addition to the Town Hall. If you are interested in serving please call Dana Hilbert, Clerk/Treasurer, at 715-543-8400, email clerk@mwtown.gov, or mail a letter of interest to PO Box 267, Manitowish Waters. Applications will be accepted until 1 PM on Friday November 23, 2018.

Join us for the second Community Wildfire Protection Plan workshop on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:30pm. We will continue the discussion on wildfire risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and finishing our community plan. The workshop is open to the public, and we would love to have your input.

The Town Board and DNR are having a workshop on Tuesday, September 18th at the Town Hall starting at 12:30 PM to begin planning for the Community Wildfire Prevention Plan (CWPP). Public participation is encouraged. If you are interested in participating please come to the Town Hall and learn about the program and how you can participate.
The August Town Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, August 7th following the Planning Commission Meeting because there is a Partisan Primary Election on Tuesday, August 14th.
